I'm Fighting Mad

This is just the sort of corrupt favoritism I'm trying to stop.

The Illinois Democratic Party has refused to make public my application to be the party's nominee for Lieutenant Governor.

Ever since the party began soliciting applications, scores of Illinoisans have completed the paperwork. The party posts those applications daily on their website.

But they're sitting on mine, refusing to make it public. I filed on Saturday and received confirmation on Sunday. Since then, the site has been updated daily. Each day's applications, from Peoria politicians and Hickville housewives, are posted in full.

The publication of these applications is critical to the forming of public opinion. The media read the applications and report on them. Iggy and Isabel Illinois can go online and form their own opinion. This is why the Democratic Party, the "party of inclusion" puts all the applications online.

All except mine. Guess I'm to much of an outsider. Not tied in with the machine. Too independent. (If you missed it, you can read the relevant portion of my application here.)

You think I'm giving up? Hell, no. In their attempt to stop me, they've recharged my batteries.

I represent you, the people of Illinois and the people who are pretending to be from Illinois.
And I've only just begun to fight for you.

I'm about to make some big waves, folks. And tomorrow, I'll report on the tsunami.

I'm giving the Party machine one chance to straighten this out. I'm about to inform them who they're up against.

Grr,

Frank, where were you during the presidential campaign?

I just discovered your blog this morning and am spreading the cause around my own online community like a minor plague. The truth isn't always pretty, I am telling them. But it can be doggone funny.

I plan to vote early and often, a fine Illinois tradition. My dead relatives are all going to do the same.

Rock on...
